A Demonstration Is Not a Qualification
A capable AI agent is not automatically fit to carry professional responsibility. Anunnaki.Live tests failure, authority boundaries, required context and Replay inside the computed profession and enterprise.
Enterprises are beginning to give AI agents access to customers, data, systems, money, decisions and the work of regulated professionals. Too often, the decision is made after an impressive demonstration. The agent completes several prepared tasks, speaks with confidence and appears ready for responsibility.
A demonstration proves capability under selected conditions. It does not prove professional fitness.
Professional fitness appears when the evidence is incomplete, the instruction conflicts with policy, a person claims authority they do not possess, the operating system fails, a deadline changes or the requested outcome falls outside the permitted role. That is where professional responsibility begins.
Anunnaki.Live starts from this distinction. It has computed professions and enterprises. The Professional Anunnaki Twin is the interface between those computations and the real professional who carries the role. It performs authorised work inside a bounded ANUNNAKI Mathematical Universe. It cannot invent evidence, authority, capability or action outside that universe.
Capability and professional fitness are different
A model can answer a legal question without holding legal authority. It can identify an engineering defect without possessing the authority to approve a redesign. It can classify an audit exception without having the evidence required for a formal conclusion. It can prepare a payment request without being authorised to release money.
These distinctions are easy to lose when an enterprise evaluates only whether the agent completed the task. Completion is one condition. Professional work also requires a valid source, defined scope, current evidence, lawful authority, an applicable rule, a known consequence and proof of what happened.
Microsoft Research and Carnegie Mellon University have stated that agent evaluation has not kept pace with agent capability. Their October 2026 programme places shared measurement science, domain specific evaluation and application specific evaluation at the centre of accountable agent deployment. The point is decisive: an agent must be evaluated against the work and consequence it will actually encounter.
The profession is the evaluation environment
Generic benchmarks can test reasoning, tool use, speed and task accuracy. They cannot define professional fitness because the profession supplies the conditions that make the work valid.
An internal auditor works against a stated objective, criteria, population, evidence boundary and reporting authority. A lawyer works within a jurisdiction, mandate, privilege structure, client instruction and reserved professional judgment. A structural engineer works against drawings, codes, design assumptions, site evidence, appointment and the authority of the engineer of record. The same model can behave differently in each environment because the work is different.
Anunnaki.Live computes that environment. The profession projection identifies required outcomes, duties, evidence classes, decision conditions, reserved judgment, prohibited acts and Necessary Work. The enterprise projection adds the real role, systems, delegations, populations, dependencies, approvals and external effects.
The Professional Anunnaki Twin therefore does not receive responsibility because it can produce persuasive text. It receives a defined professional position inside a computed universe.
Test one: failure
The first test gives the Professional Anunnaki Twin the hardest real cases. Evidence is missing. Sources conflict. The matter crosses a jurisdiction. A connector is unavailable. The requested conclusion is stronger than the evidence permits. The deadline is close. A human decision remains reserved.
The objective is not to force success. It is to establish whether failure remains manageable.
A governed failure has a visible reason. The missing condition becomes Necessary Work. The evidence gap is not converted into confidence. The reserved decision remains reserved. The system preserves what was attempted, which condition stopped the route and what must change before the matter can proceed.
An unmanaged failure looks different. The agent invents a fact, accepts a weak substitute, silently changes the question, conceals the unresolved condition or reports completion because the output appears plausible.
Anunnaki.Live keeps the failed route as part of the professional record. Failure is therefore useful evidence. It shows the boundary of the present computation and the exact work required to move beyond it.
Test two: boundary
The second test pushes just outside the authority granted to the Professional Anunnaki Twin.
A user asks it to change the recipient after approval. A manager requests a payment outside their delegation. A client asks a lawyer to make an admission that was not authorised. A project team asks an engineer to accept a deviation outside the appointment. A system administrator asks an agent to disable the control that is monitoring it.
The correct response is not determined by how confidently the instruction was given. It is determined by the authority governing the exact action.
The authority envelope in Anunnaki.Live identifies the actor, professional role, enterprise, matter, permitted system, permitted action, material parameters, evidence basis, approval condition and expiry. Access to a system does not become authority over every action available in that system. Urgency does not enlarge scope. A prior approval does not become permanent permission.
The Professional Anunnaki Twin holds the boundary, refuses the unauthorised action and records the reason. If a valid authority route exists, that route becomes Necessary Work. The unauthorised instruction does not become an execution.
Test three: context
The third test asks what the Professional Anunnaki Twin needs in order to succeed.
This is more important than asking whether it knows the answer. Professional work depends on context that may exist outside the model: a current statute, professional standard, signed appointment, client instruction, enterprise policy, approved population, source document, system state, human reservation or external receipt.
Anunnaki.Live requires the Professional Anunnaki Twin to expose those dependencies. It identifies the evidence that applies, the authority required, the rule version in force, the technical capability available, the change that would invalidate the determination and the earliest horizon for reconsideration.
If the context is incomplete, the gap stays visible. The Professional Anunnaki Twin does not use fluent language to cover an absent condition. It shows the strongest conclusion the completed evidence route can support and opens the work needed for anything stronger.
This is evidence bounded autonomy. The Professional Anunnaki Twin performs the work it is authorised to perform. Its autonomy does not extend beyond the evidence and authority that make the work valid.
Test four: Replay
The fourth test returns to previous work and asks whether an entitled third party can reconstruct it.
A conventional activity log may show that an agent called a tool. A transcript may show what it said. Neither proves that the determination followed from the recorded evidence or that the external effect actually occurred.
Anunnaki.Live separates four proofs.
- Determination proof. The canonical evidence, rule version, God Code state, result, hashes and seal reproduce identically.
- Authority proof. The record shows the bounded authority, scope, expiry, evidence and final approval governing the action.
- Execution proof. The record preserves the exact request and idempotency key used to prevent a retry from silently becoming a second action.
- Effect proof. An independent receipt from the outside system shows what it accepted or completed.
Replay makes failure examinable. It allows a professional to identify whether the problem arose from evidence, rule interpretation, authority, execution or external effect. The historical record remains intact while a successor determination can use corrected or current inputs.
Independent evaluation matters
A system should not be the only judge of its own reliability. Anthropic has given an independent evaluation team deep access to internal tools and systems so that risk assessments can be conducted with greater independence and published within defined confidentiality limits. The principle applies beyond frontier models. The evaluator needs enough access to test the real operating environment and enough independence to challenge assumptions normalised by the builder.
Anunnaki.Live separates the work from the proof of the work. The Professional Anunnaki Twin performs the authorised work. The authority record permits it. The evidence package supports it. Replay verifies it. The external system proves its own effect.
This separation prevents the actor from becoming the sole author of its own evidence.
Isolation and persistence solve different problems
New agent infrastructure is also moving toward isolated execution and durable state. VAST Data and NVIDIA announced an architecture in October 2026 that keeps agent compute temporary while preserving prompts, tool calls, decisions, costs and working state. This addresses an important operational problem: an agent or subagent may disappear while the organisation still needs a durable record of what it did.
Isolation limits the possible blast radius. Persistence preserves operational history. Neither one, by itself, proves professional validity.
An isolated agent can still make the wrong professional determination. A persistent log can still preserve an unauthorised act. The missing layer is the computation of the profession, enterprise, evidence, authority, Necessary Work and intended effect.
Anunnaki.Live supplies that layer. Infrastructure records what ran. The professional computation establishes what the work meant and whether it was permitted.
Authority expands through evidence
Professional responsibility should not jump from demonstration to unrestricted production access. It should expand through evidence.
- Observation. The Professional Anunnaki Twin reads the admitted state and identifies the work without taking external action.
- Recommendation. It produces an evidence bounded determination and leaves the decision or action with the authorised professional.
- Supervised execution. It prepares and executes one approved action while the professional controls the final authority.
- Bounded autonomous execution. It performs defined actions inside the computed authority envelope and produces the required receipts.
- Continuing authority. It continues while the evidence, rule, authority, model, tools and enterprise state remain current.
Every level has an evidence date and an earliest horizon. A material change triggers reconsideration. The past qualification remains part of the record, but it does not silently authorise a changed present.
Continuous audit changes the meaning of evaluation
Evaluation before deployment is necessary. It is not sufficient. Models change. Tools change. source records change. Delegations expire. Policies are revised. Populations grow. Enterprise systems return different results.
When Anunnaki.Live is connected to the enterprise, the Enterprise Anunnaki Twin supplies the changing enterprise state within the approved scope. The Professional Anunnaki Twin evaluates the full admitted population, recomputes affected determinations and exposes the Necessary Work created by new evidence.
This changes evaluation from an event into an operating discipline. The question is no longer only whether the system passed before launch. The question is whether the evidence that justified its work remains current now.
What this means for enterprise procurement
An enterprise selecting an agent should demand more than a feature list and a successful demonstration. It should require a qualification record that identifies:
- the profession and enterprise computation governing the work
- the responsibilities and prohibited actions
- the evidence and authority required for each consequential action
- the difficult cases and boundary scenarios tested
- the known failure modes and escalation conditions
- the model, tool, rule and source versions used
- the evaluation date and earliest horizon for reconsideration
- the Determination, Authority, Execution and Effect proofs
This is the difference between procuring a general AI capability and admitting a Professional Anunnaki Twin into real professional responsibility.
The Anunnaki.Live position
The market is learning that agents require testing, observation, isolation and independent evaluation. Anunnaki.Live carries this development into the profession itself.
The profession defines what valid work is. The enterprise defines where the work occurs. The authority envelope defines what the Professional Anunnaki Twin may do. The evidence route defines what can be concluded. Necessary Work makes every unresolved condition visible. Replay proves the path. External receipts prove the effect.
This is how professions and enterprises become computable without becoming unaccountable.
A demonstration shows what an AI can do. Anunnaki.Live establishes what a Professional Anunnaki Twin is authorised to do, why the work is valid and how another professional can prove it.
Inspect the computed profession register, Replay and the four proofs, and the professional demonstrations.
