Continuous Audit Is a Living Record, Not a Repeated Report

October 23, 2026ANUNNAKI MATRIX (Pty) Ltd

A connected enterprise does not repeatedly relabel the old answer as current. It observes declared changes, evaluates their relevance and creates a successor record when the basis changes.

Continuous audit is not a button that reruns an old report every day. It is a living professional record that distinguishes historical truth from the current position. The original report must remain intact, while new evidence, new authority, new policy, new population records and external receipts may create a new determination.

NIST describes post deployment monitoring as necessary because real world systems change after they leave a controlled test environment. Its report sets out functionality, operations, human factors, security, compliance and wider impacts as distinct monitoring categories. It also says that validated methods and common terminology remain immature.

What connection changes

When an Enterprise Anunnaki Twin is connected through an approved connector, the connected system can supply declared source records and change events. The platform can compare them with the dependency manifest and identify whether they touch the evidence, authority, population, policy or receipt behind an existing determination or audit.

If the change is material, the prior sealed package remains historical and a successor version is opened. If the connector does not supply a current record, the system does not claim continuous monitoring. It says exactly what is unavailable.

Continuous means accountable over time

The professional receives a chain, not a replaced report: original basis, observed change, relevance test, successor computation, action decision and receipt. That is how a third party can see both what was true then and what is true now.
